BDO H.M. Riajul Hoque Honoured with “Manob Ratna” Award

Kolkata, May 2026:

H.M. Riajul Hoque, a distinguished WBCS (Executive) officer and presently serving as the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Murarai-I Block in Birbhum district, has been conferred with the prestigious “Manob Ratna” award by ASHA Foundation, Kolkata, in recognition of his outstanding contributions towards education, culture, social service, and humanitarian values.

 

The award was presented along with a Certificate of Honour at a special programme organised by the foundation in Kolkata. The honour recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to society through dedicated public service and humanitarian initiatives.

H.M. Riajul Hoque has earlier served in several important administrative positions in West Bengal, including as the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Suti-I Block in Murshidabad district and Uluberia-I Block in Howrah district. Known for his people-centric governance, commitment to rural development, and efficient administrative leadership, he has earned appreciation from both the administration and the public.

 

Apart from his administrative responsibilities, Hoque is also recognised for his literary interests, social awareness initiatives, and efforts to promote communal harmony and public welfare. His contributions in the fields of education, culture, and social development have inspired many across the state.
