Today, the District Magistrate of Howrah, Dr. P Dipap Priya, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, conducted a site visit to the ongoing Public Health Engineering (PHE) projects located at Kalinagar Gram Panchayat within the Uluberia-I Block. During this visit, she was accompanied by the Sub-Divisional Officer of Uluberia, Shri Manas Kumar Mondal, and the Block Development Officer of Uluberia-I Block, Shri H.M. Riajul Hoque.
This particular PHE project focuses on utilizing water from the Hoogly River, aiming to provide a sustainable water supply for the residents of the area. The implementation of this surface water project is expected to greatly benefit not only the population of Uluberia-I Block but also the neighboring Shyampur-I and Shyampur-II Blocks. By improving access to clean water, the project will enhance the quality of life for thousands of individuals in these communities. The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to develop reliable infrastructure in rural areas, ensuring better health and sanitation for all residents.
