On January 24, 2025, the Block Development Officer of Uluberia-I Block made an important visit to the Duare Sarkar camp held at Chandipur Gram Panchayat. The Duare Sarkar program represents a significant public outreach initiative by the Government of West Bengal, aimed at connecting citizens with government services and welfare schemes. This camp is set to continue running until February 1, 2025, providing ample opportunity for residents to engage with the services offered.
During this visit, the Additional District Magistrate (General), Divya Murugesan, an IAS officer, accompanied by Manas Kumar Mondal, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Uluberia, also attended the camp. The presence of these officials underscored the importance of the program and demonstrated ongoing governmental support.
The camp attracted a large crowd, particularly for popular schemes such as Laxmir Bhander, which provides financial assistance, as well as the old age pension scheme and the Sastha Sathi program, which offers health insurance. This high turnout reflects the community’s keen interest in accessing essential government services and the effectiveness of the Duare Sarkar initiative in reaching out to the public.
