Uluberia, August 20: A Duare Sarkar and Amader Para Amader Samadhan camp was organized today at Heerapur Gram Panchayat under Uluberia-I Block, drawing huge participation from local residents and creating a festive atmosphere of governance reaching people’s doorsteps.

Hon’ble Minister in Charge of PHE and PWD Shri Pulak Roy, Hon’ble Minister of State Shri Dilip Mondal, and Hon’ble District Magistrate of Howrah Dr. P. Deepap Priya graced the occasion and interacted with beneficiaries. They were joined by Sabhadhipati Smt. Kaberi Das, Superintendent of Police (Howrah Grameen) Shri Subimal Pal, ADM (Panchayat) Shri Abhra Adhikari, SDO Uluberia Shri Manas Kumar Mondal, SDPO Shri Subham Yadav, Sabhapati of Uluberia Panchayat Samity Shri Atindra Sekhar Pramanik, BDO Uluberia-I Shri H. M. Riajul Hoque, Joint BDO Shri Suman Biswas, all Karmadhyakshas, and Prodhan of Heerapur GP Shri Uttam Maity.

Large numbers of people from booths 159, 160, and 161 attended the camp. They raised important local issues such as the need for new road construction, urgent road repair work, and renovation of ICDS centres. In a symbolic gesture of peace and harmony, the dignitaries released white doves, marking the spirit of the programme.

Alongside Duare Sarkar services, the Amader Para Amader Samadhan camp was also held, focusing on development works in local areas. The key schemes and services under this initiative included:

Construction and repair of rural roads

Drinking water supply projects

Drainage and sanitation works

Repair and upgradation of ICDS centres

Installation and maintenance of street lighting

Solid and liquid waste management initiatives

Support for local infrastructure in health, education, and community spaces

To add vibrancy to the programme, a blood donation camp was organized, encouraging community participation. Local Self-Help Groups (SHGs) showcased their strength and creativity through handicraft stalls and food stalls, which attracted wide appreciation.

The people of Heerapur GP responded with great enthusiasm, appreciating the opportunity to directly present their issues to senior officials and public representatives. The camp successfully reinforced the government’s commitment to last-mile delivery of welfare services and participatory development, ensuring that citizens’ voices are heard and addressed in a festive, people-friendly atmosphere
