Today, H M Riajul Hoque, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Uluberia-I, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of a Public Works Department (PWD) bridge located at Chandipur Gram Panchayat. The construction had encountered significant delays, mainly due to issues concerning land ownership and disputes among local residents. These challenges caused the work to come to a standstill, frustrating the local community that relies on improved infrastructure for better connectivity.
During his visit, BDO H M Riajul Hoque engaged with the local people and political leaders in the area. He listened to their concerns regarding the land issues and facilitated discussions to address their grievances. Through effective communication and negotiation, he managed to convince both the residents and local authorities about the importance of completing the bridge for the broader benefit of the community.
As a result of his efforts, the land problem was resolved, allowing construction to continue without further interruption.
